ANITA PERESIN

Adjunct Associate Professor at Zagreb University, Croatia

Anita conducts research on terrorism, radicalisation, extremism and security analysis. She has published widely on the topic of women and children in terrorism. Her recent focus was on women and children in DAESH and on challenges of repatriation, reintegration and rehabilitation of returning foreign terrorist fighters and their families from Syria and Iraq.

LEJDI DERVISHI

Former Director at The Coordination Center for Countering Violent Extremism in Albania

Lejdi focuses on the topics preventing and countering violent radicalism and extremism that can lead to terrorism , Western Balkans Regional security, NATO, European foreign and security policy. She provides her expertise as RAN expert and  lectures on the nexus between international organized crime and terrorism.

ERIC POINSOT

Policy Officer for the Prevention of Radicalization and Violent Extremism at the City of Strasbourg

Daniela is Senior Researcher at  oiip in Vienna, Austria. Her fields of research are terrorism, radicalisation, extremism, comparative regional security, American and European foreign and security policy. She completed her PhD at the University of St Andrews and has published widely on the topics of radicalisation, disengagement and reintegration.

THOMAS RENARD

Director of the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism (ICCT)

Thomas' research focuses on (counter-)terrorism and (counter-)radicalisation in Europe. His recent work has focused on the evolution of counter-terrorism policy in liberal democracies since 2001, on (returning) foreign fighters, on radicalization in prison and on terrorist recidivism. His latest publication is 'The Evolution of Counter-Terrorism since 9/11' (Routledge, Sep. 2021).

DANIEL KÖHLER

Researcher for the Competence Center Against Extremism in Baden-Württemberg

Daniel's work focuses on terrorism (far-right, jihadist and left-wing), radicalization and he is the author of a handbook for structural quality standards in deradicalization programs.  His most recent publication is “From Traitor to Zealot: Exploring the Phenomenon of Side-Switching in Extremism and Terrorism” (Cambridge University Press).
