About the event
Preventing terror attacks depends on the successful disengagement and reintegration of convicted terrorist and extremist offenders.
This event reflected on the various challenges authorities, practitioners and researchers face in this area, as well as on ways forward. It constitutes the official public kick-off event of the EUTEx project:
Developing a European framework for disengagement and reintegration of extremist offenders and radicalised individuals in prison, including returning foreign terrorist fighters and their families
Prominent speakers at the event were Austrian Minister of Justice, Dr Alma Zadić, who provided a welcome address, and Prof. Andrew Silke of Cranfield University who held the keynote speech. The keynote was followed by a panel discussion moderated by EUTEx Project Coordinator Daniela Pisoiu.
